How We Help

Stroke 2 Strength

At Stroke 2 Strength, we believe in providing practical, emotional, and social support for younger stroke survivors. We understand that your needs might be different from traditional stroke recovery programs, so we offer tailored options both locally and online.

In-Person Support (Nottinghamshire & Lincolnshire)

For those in the Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire area, we offer regular meetups and sessions designed to help with recovery and emotional well-being. These sessions include:

Physical recovery activities – Gentle exercises to help with mobility and rehabilitation. Mental well-being support – Tips and talks on coping with anxiety, depression, and self-confidence after stroke. Guest speakers & workshops – Insights from professionals on stroke recovery, nutrition, and lifestyle adaptations. Social events – Building friendships and having fun with others who understand your experience.

Online Support (UK-Wide)

If you’re based outside of our local area, our online community provides a way to connect with others and access resources, no matter where you are in the UK.

Virtual meet-up's & support groups – Join video calls with fellow stroke survivors. Exclusive resources – Access guides, articles, and recovery tips tailored for younger stroke survivors. Live Q&A sessions – Talk to experts and ask questions about your recovery journey. Community chat & peer support – Stay connected with others who understand your struggles and victories.

Our goal is to create a space where you can feel understood, supported, and empowered to take the next steps in your recovery.

My first night out 7 months post stroke - this group pulled me out of the gutter whilst my world imploded around me. Being part of the WhatsApp group is what got me out of bed in the morning and made me start to accept my new normal. My stroke family are priceless xxx
